Air Fryer Donuts
Ingredients:
- 1 can Pillsbury flaky biscuits (8 biscuits)
- Olive oil cooking spray
Instructions:
- Prepare the Biscuits:
- Open the can of Pillsbury flaky biscuits and separate them.
- Lay each biscuit on a flat surface.
- Use an icing tip or a small round object to make a hole in the center of each biscuit. You can use the removed dough to make more donut holes if desired.
- Prepare the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 325°F (160°C).
- Cook the Donuts:
- Lightly spray both sides of each biscuit with olive oil cooking spray to help them brown.
- Place the prepared biscuits in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry at 325°F (160°C) for 6-8 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and cooked through. Flip them halfway through cooking for even browning.
- Prepare the Icing:
- While the donuts are cooking, prepare the icing.
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of powdered sugar with 1/4 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed until you reach your desired thickness.
- Optionally, for chocolate frosting, add 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the icing mixture and mix until smooth.
- Coat the Donuts:
- Once the donuts are cooked and slightly cooled, dip each donut into the icing to coat it completely.
- Alternatively, coat the donuts with cinnamon and sugar by mixing cinnamon and granulated sugar in a bowl and tossing the warm donuts in the mixture.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Serve the donuts warm and enjoy them with your favorite beverage.
