Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs Great Value (GV) tater tots
- 2 lbs ground hamburger
- 1 can of Cream of Bacon soup
- 1 can of Cheddar Cheese soup
- 1 small package of GV real bacon pieces
- 1 package of shredded cheese (cheddar recommended)
- 1/2 can of milk (use the soup can to measure)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Cook the Hamburger: In a large skillet, cook the ground hamburger over medium-high heat until fully browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned hamburger, Cream of Bacon soup, Cheddar Cheese soup, and 1/2 can of milk. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed and the mixture is smooth.
- Assemble the Casserole:
- Layer 1: Spread an even layer of tater tots on the bottom of a large casserole dish (approximately 9×13 inches).
- Layer 2: Pour the meat and soup mixture over the tater tots, spreading it out evenly.
- Layer 3: Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the meat mixture.
- Layer 4: Add another layer of tater tots on top of the cheese.
- Layer 5: Sprinkle the package of real bacon pieces over the top layer of tater tots.
- Layer 6: Finish by sprinkling the remaining shredded cheese over the bacon pieces.
- Bake: Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy this delicious, hearty dish with family and friends!
