Chicken Stuffed Jalapeños Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 Jalapeño peppers, cut in half lengthwise and seeds removed
- 4 oz. Cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 Tbsp. Salsa
- 1 ½ tsp. Cumin
- ¼ tsp. Salt
- 1 cup Shredded chicken (cooked)
- 1 ½ tsp. Chili powder
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- Prepare the Jalapeños:
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise.
- Remove the seeds and membranes to reduce the spiciness, or leave some seeds if you prefer more heat.
- Make the Filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded Cheddar cheese, salsa, cumin, salt, shredded chicken, and chili powder.
- Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is creamy and well-incorporated.
- Stuff the Jalapeños:
- Using a small spoon or your hands, carefully stuff each jalapeño half with the filling mixture.
- Ensure the filling is evenly distributed and slightly mounded.
- Prepare for Baking:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
- Arrange the stuffed jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.
- Bake:
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the filling is golden and bubbly.
