Chocolate-Chunk Toffee Cookies
These delicious Chocolate-Chunk Toffee Cookies are easy to make and budget-friendly. Perfect for a quick dessert or a treat to share!
Ingredients:
- 1 box (18.5 ounces) chocolate cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup toffee bits
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Note: The recipe can be doubled to make more cookies. For a doubled recipe, simply double all the ingredients.
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease them to prevent the cookies from sticking.
- Mix the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil. Stir until all the ingredients are well incorporated and the dough is smooth.
- Add toffee and chocolate chips: Gently fold in the toffee bits and chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Shape the cookies: Using a spoon or a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of the spoon or your fingers.
- Bake: Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft. Be careful not to overbake; the cookies should be chewy.
- Cool: Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for 2-3 minutes. Then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
- Enjoy: Once cooled, enjoy your Chocolate-Chunk Toffee Cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage. Store any leftovers in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
Tips:
- For an extra crunch, you can add chopped nuts such as pecans or almonds to the dough.
- If you like a gooey center, slightly underbake the cookies and let them cool on the baking sheet.
- For a festive touch, consider adding colorful sprinkles to the dough before baking.
Enjoy baking and indulging in these delightful cookies!
