Cinnamon Roll Bites Recipe

Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Roll Bites:
  • 2 cans of refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 stick (½ cup) of butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a baking pan (9×13 inches works well) with cooking spray or a thin layer of butter.
  2. Prepare the Biscuits:
    • Open the cans of biscuits and separate them.
    • Cut each biscuit into quarters. Roll each quarter into a ball with your hands.
  3. Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
    • In a medium bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined.
    • Pour the melted butter into a separate bowl.
  4. Coat the Biscuit Balls:
    • Dip each biscuit ball into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
    • Roll the butter-coated biscuit ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, making sure it’s thoroughly covered.
    • Place the coated biscuit balls into the greased baking pan. Arrange them close together but not too tightly packed.
  5. Leftover Butter and Sugar:
    • If you have any leftover butter and cinnamon-sugar mixture, combine them together and drizzle over the biscuit balls in the pan.
  6. Bake:
    • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuit balls are golden brown and cooked through. Keep an eye on them to avoid over-baking.
  7. Prepare the Glaze:
    • While the cinnamon roll bites are baking, make the glaze.
    • In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk.
    • Mix until the glaze is smooth and has a pourable consistency. If the glaze is too thick, add a little more milk, a teaspoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
  8. Finish and Serve:
    • Once the cinnamon roll bites are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly in the pan for about 5 minutes.
    • Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon roll bites.
    • Serve warm and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Let the kids help with rolling the biscuit dough into balls and coating them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture; it’s a fun and easy task for little hands.
  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, reduce the amount of milk. For a thinner glaze, add more milk gradually until you reach the desired consistency.
  • These cinnamon roll bites are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, but they can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds before serving to restore their warmth and softness.
