Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet (1 oz) of chicken gravy mix
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • A few dashes of ranch seasoning mix (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crock Pot: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker or line it with a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.
  2. Add Ingredients:
  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  • Add the can of cream of chicken soup on top of the chicken and broth.
  • Sprinkle the chicken gravy mix over the mixture.
  1. Season:
  • Add freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • For additional flavor, add a few dashes of ranch seasoning mix if desired.
  1. Cook:
  • Cover the crock pot with its lid.
  • Set the crock pot to low heat and cook for 6 hours. The chicken will become tender and easily shredable.
  1. Shred the Chicken:
  • After 6 hours, remove the chicken breasts from the crock pot and place them on a cutting board.
  • Use two forks or a hand mixer to shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  1. Return Chicken to Gravy:
  • Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and stir to coat the chicken with the gravy mixture.
  1. Serve:
  • Serve the chicken and gravy over homemade mashed potatoes or your choice of sides.
