Easy Buffalo Chicken Dip
Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded chicken (or cut up 2 chicken breasts into small pieces)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
- 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded cheese (divided; 1 cup for the dip and 1 cup for sprinkling on top)
- Bag of Tostitos or other chips (or any dip-able foods like celery sticks, crackers, or pita bread)
Directions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Ingredients:
- If using whole chicken breasts, cook them thoroughly (either by boiling, baking, or pan-frying) and then shred them with two forks.
- Soften the cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature for about 30 minutes or microwaving it for 15-20 seconds.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ranch dressing, Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, softened cream cheese, and 1 cup of shredded cheese. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, until the dip is heated through and bubbly around the edges.
- Add Topping: Remove the foil and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese on top of the dip. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with chips or your preferred dip-able foods.
Note: For a spicier dip, increase the Frank’s Red Hot Sauce to 1 cup. Adjust to taste.
