Avalanche Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 bag white chocolate chips (about 10-12 oz)
- 2 cups Rice Krispie cereal
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup M&M’s
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
Instructions:
- Prepare Ingredients:
- Measure out 2 cups of Rice Krispie cereal and set aside in a large mixing bowl.
- Pour 1 cup of M&M’s and 1 cup of mini marshmallows into small bowls and set them aside as well.
- Measure 1 cup of creamy peanut butter and have it ready to add to the melted chocolate.
- Melt the White Chocolate Chips:
- In a medium-sized saucepan, add the bag of white chocolate chips.
- Place the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent the chocolate from burning. Be patient, as melting chocolate over low heat ensures a smooth and creamy texture.
- Once the white chocolate chips have fully melted and are smooth, add the 1 cup of peanut butter.
- Combine Chocolate and Peanut Butter:
- Continue stirring the melted white chocolate and peanut butter together until they are fully combined and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Mix with Rice Krispie Cereal:
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Pour the melted white chocolate and peanut butter mixture over the Rice Krispie cereal in the large mixing bowl.
- Gently stir the mixture with a spatula until all the cereal is evenly coated.
- Add M&M’s and Marshmallows:
- Add the 1 cup of M&M’s and 1 cup of mini marshmallows to the bowl.
- Stir gently but thoroughly, ensuring that the M&M’s and marshmallows are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Form the Cookies:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet to form cookies. The size is up to your preference, but about 2 tablespoons of mixture per cookie works well.

- Chill the Cookies and Bars:
- Place the baking sheet and springform pan (or baking dish) in the refrigerator.
- Allow the cookies and bars to chill for about 30 minutes or until they are firm and set.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Once the cookies and bars are fully chilled, remove them from the refrigerator.
- If you used a springform pan or baking dish, cut the bars into squares or rectangles.
