Homemade Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 can crescent roll full sheet dough
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Pizza sauce
  • Pizza toppings of your choice (suggested: Jimmy Dean sausage and bacon crumbles, pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, diced bell peppers, olives, cooked ground beef)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 385°F (195°C).
  2. Prepare the Baking Sheet:
    • Use a paper towel to spread 2 tablespoons of olive oil evenly on a baking sheet.
    • Sprinkle a little garlic powder, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning directly onto the oiled baking sheet.
  3. Prepare the Dough:
    • Roll out the crescent roll full sheet dough and pat it gently to fit the entire baking sheet.
  4. Pre-Bake the Crust:
    • Place the prepared dough into the preheated oven.
    • Bake at 385°F for 8 minutes. This pre-baking helps to ensure a crispy crust.
  5. Add the Sauce and Toppings:
    • Remove the crust from the oven.
    • Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce evenly over the pre-baked crust.
    • Add your favorite pizza toppings. Suggested toppings include Jimmy Dean sausage and bacon crumbles, pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, diced bell peppers, olives, and cooked ground beef.
    • Sprinkle a little more garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the toppings.
  6. Add the Cheese:
    • Top the pizza generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Final Bake:
    • Place the pizza back into the oven.
    • Bake at 385°F for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Remove the pizza from the oven.
    • Let it cool slightly before slicing.
