Homemade Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 can crescent roll full sheet dough
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
- Pizza sauce
- Pizza toppings of your choice (suggested: Jimmy Dean sausage and bacon crumbles, pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, diced bell peppers, olives, cooked ground beef)
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 385°F (195°C).
- Prepare the Baking Sheet:
- Use a paper towel to spread 2 tablespoons of olive oil evenly on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle a little garlic powder, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning directly onto the oiled baking sheet.
- Prepare the Dough:
- Roll out the crescent roll full sheet dough and pat it gently to fit the entire baking sheet.
- Pre-Bake the Crust:
- Place the prepared dough into the preheated oven.
- Bake at 385°F for 8 minutes. This pre-baking helps to ensure a crispy crust.
- Add the Sauce and Toppings:
- Remove the crust from the oven.
- Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce evenly over the pre-baked crust.
- Add your favorite pizza toppings. Suggested toppings include Jimmy Dean sausage and bacon crumbles, pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, diced bell peppers, olives, and cooked ground beef.
- Sprinkle a little more garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the toppings.
- Add the Cheese:
- Top the pizza generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Final Bake:
- Place the pizza back into the oven.
- Bake at 385°F for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Remove the pizza from the oven.
