Homemade Pizza Sticks

Ingredients:

  • 2 rolls of crescent roll dough
  • 8 string cheese sticks
  • 32 slices of pepperoni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Pizza sauce (for dipping)
  • Caesar salad (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • Roll out both rolls of crescent roll dough on a clean surface.
    • Press the seams together to create two large rectangles of dough.
    • Using a pizza cutter, cut each large rectangle into 4 equal pieces, making a total of 8 rectangles.
  3. Assemble the Pizza Sticks:
    • Place 4 slices of pepperoni in the center of each rectangle of dough.
    • Place a string cheese stick on top of the pepperoni.
    • Roll the dough tightly around the cheese and pepperoni, pinching the edges to seal them.
  4. Prepare the Topping:
    • In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
    • Stir in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning until well combined.
  5. Bake the Pizza Sticks:
    • Place the rolled-up pizza sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
    • Brush the tops of each pizza stick with the melted butter mixture.
    • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of each pizza stick.
  6. Bake and Serve:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the pizza sticks are golden brown. Keep an eye on them to avoid over-baking; you may want to check them at the 10-minute mark.
    • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serving Suggestions:
    • Serve the pizza sticks with a side of warm pizza sauce for dipping.
    • Pair with a fresh Caesar salad for a complete meal.
