Homemade Pizza Sticks
Ingredients:
- 2 rolls of crescent roll dough
- 8 string cheese sticks
- 32 slices of pepperoni
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Pizza sauce (for dipping)
- Caesar salad (for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Prepare the Dough:
- Roll out both rolls of crescent roll dough on a clean surface.
- Press the seams together to create two large rectangles of dough.
- Using a pizza cutter, cut each large rectangle into 4 equal pieces, making a total of 8 rectangles.
- Assemble the Pizza Sticks:
- Place 4 slices of pepperoni in the center of each rectangle of dough.
- Place a string cheese stick on top of the pepperoni.
- Roll the dough tightly around the cheese and pepperoni, pinching the edges to seal them.
- Prepare the Topping:
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
- Stir in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning until well combined.
- Bake the Pizza Sticks:
- Place the rolled-up pizza sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
- Brush the tops of each pizza stick with the melted butter mixture.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of each pizza stick.
- Bake and Serve:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the pizza sticks are golden brown. Keep an eye on them to avoid over-baking; you may want to check them at the 10-minute mark.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serving Suggestions:
- Serve the pizza sticks with a side of warm pizza sauce for dipping.
- Pair with a fresh Caesar salad for a complete meal.
