Quick and Easy Chocolate Cream Pie

Quick and Easy Chocolate Cream Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 (6 oz) pre-made graham cracker crust
  • 1 (8 oz) tub of Cool Whip (thawed in the fridge)
  • 6 regular-sized Hershey’s Chocolate Bars (about 9 ounces)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chocolate:
    • Break apart the Hershey’s Chocolate Bars into small squares. Set aside a few squares (about 2-3) for garnishing later if desired.
    • Place the broken chocolate pieces into a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Melt the Chocolate:
    • Microwave the chocolate in the bowl for 30 seconds on high. Remove from the microwave and stir.
    • Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate, as it can burn easily.
  3. Combine with Cool Whip:
    • Once the chocolate is melted, add the thawed Cool Whip to the bowl.
    • Using a spatula or a whisk, gently fold the Cool Whip into the melted chocolate until well combined and smooth. Make sure there are no streaks of chocolate or Cool Whip.
  4. Assemble the Pie:
    • Spoon the chocolate Cool Whip mixture into the pre-made graham cracker crust. Use the back of a spoon or a spatula to spread the mixture evenly and smooth the top.
  5. Garnish:
    • If you set aside some chocolate squares, use a cheese grater to grate them over the top of the pie for a decorative garnish. You can also break them into smaller pieces and sprinkle them on top.
  6. Chill the Pie:
    • Place the assembled pie in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours to allow it to set properly. This will help the flavors meld together and make it easier to slice.
  7. Serve:
    • Once chilled, slice the pie into desired portions and serve. Enjoy your quick and easy chocolate cream pie!
