Quick and Easy Chocolate Cream Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 (6 oz) pre-made graham cracker crust
- 1 (8 oz) tub of Cool Whip (thawed in the fridge)
- 6 regular-sized Hershey’s Chocolate Bars (about 9 ounces)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chocolate:
- Break apart the Hershey’s Chocolate Bars into small squares. Set aside a few squares (about 2-3) for garnishing later if desired.
- Place the broken chocolate pieces into a microwave-safe bowl.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Microwave the chocolate in the bowl for 30 seconds on high. Remove from the microwave and stir.
- Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate, as it can burn easily.
- Combine with Cool Whip:
- Once the chocolate is melted, add the thawed Cool Whip to the bowl.
- Using a spatula or a whisk, gently fold the Cool Whip into the melted chocolate until well combined and smooth. Make sure there are no streaks of chocolate or Cool Whip.
- Assemble the Pie:
- Spoon the chocolate Cool Whip mixture into the pre-made graham cracker crust. Use the back of a spoon or a spatula to spread the mixture evenly and smooth the top.
- Garnish:
- If you set aside some chocolate squares, use a cheese grater to grate them over the top of the pie for a decorative garnish. You can also break them into smaller pieces and sprinkle them on top.
- Chill the Pie:
- Place the assembled pie in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours to allow it to set properly. This will help the flavors meld together and make it easier to slice.
- Serve:
- Once chilled, slice the pie into desired portions and serve. Enjoy your quick and easy chocolate cream pie!
