Sausage Muffins Recipe
These Sausage Muffins are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast option that combines savory sausage with cheesy goodness, all in a portable muffin form.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Bisquick (or any pancake and baking mix)
- 1 lb cooked sausage (breakfast sausage, crumbled and drained)
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese blend)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Make sure the oven is fully preheated before you start baking the muffins.
- Cook the Sausage:
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until it’s fully browned and crumbled. Use a spatula to break up the sausage as it cooks. Once cooked, transfer the sausage to a plate lined with paper towels to drain the excess grease.
- Prepare the Muffin Batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, Bisquick, shredded Cheddar cheese, and beaten eggs. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated. The batter will be thick and chunky.
- Fill the Muffin Pan:
- Lightly grease a muffin pan or line it with paper muffin liners. Spoon the sausage mixture into each muffin cup, filling them about 3/4 full. The mixture should yield approximately 12 muffins.
- Bake the Muffins:
- Place the muffin pan in the preheated oven. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Once baked, remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then, transfer the muffins to a wire rack to cool slightly before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
- Enjoy the Sausage Muffins warm for breakfast or brunch.
- These muffins are great on their own, but you can also serve them with a side of fruit, a dollop of sour cream, or a drizzle of hot sauce for a spicy kick.
Storage:
- Store any leftover muffins in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds before serving.
These Sausage Muffins are perfect for a quick grab-and-go breakfast or a savory snack anytime!
