Super Easy Crock Pot Meal
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of frozen meatballs (about 24 meatballs)
- 1 bottle (24 oz) of spaghetti sauce
- Water (half the spaghetti sauce bottle)
- Half a box (8 oz) of penne pasta
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Garlic salt (to taste)
- 6 slices of provolone cheese
Instructions:
- Cook the Meatballs:
- Place the frozen meatballs in the crockpot.
- Set the crockpot to high and cook for about 30 minutes, allowing the meatballs to thaw and start cooking.
- Add the Sauce and Pasta:
- After 30 minutes, pour the bottle of spaghetti sauce over the meatballs.
- Fill the empty spaghetti sauce bottle halfway with water, shake it well to get all the sauce remnants, and pour it into the crockpot.
- Add the penne pasta to the crockpot.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste.
- Cook Until Pasta is Done:
- Stir everything together.
- Let the mixture cook on high for another 30-45 minutes, or until the pasta is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom and to ensure even cooking.
- Check the liquid level periodically. If the mixture seems dry, add more water in small increments to keep the pasta covered and cooking properly.
- Add the Cheese:
- Once the pasta is cooked, place slices of provolone cheese on top of the mixture.
- Cover the crockpot and let the cheese melt, which should take about 5 minutes.
- Serve:
- Once the cheese is melted and gooey, give the mixture a final stir to incorporate the cheese.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Tips:
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of water added.
- For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes.
- Serve with a side of garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
This simple and delicious meal is perfect for busy days and is sure to be a hit with everyone!
